At 0%, your scooter disables internal functions to conserve battery. Your scooter will last for approximately seven days in this state. During this time, you can still unlock it using the power button and access your trunk. These functions can also be performed on your Ola Electric app. However please charge your scooter immediately to prevent a battery-dead situation. No. It has to be purchased separately as an insurance add-on from Ola when purchasing the scooter. It is valid for one year from the date of purchase of the policy. You can avail our Roadside Assistance service on a pay-per-use basis even without the insurance add-on. The amount to be paid will be shared before the service.

Pick-up from the location of the breakdown and drop to the nearest Ola workshop will be provided as part of our Roadside Assistance.

The different features you can access through the dash include:

2. General settings, menu, navigation and music can be accessed by swiping left on the dash.

Your phone is connected if the 'Bluetooth paired' icon is visible on your status bar. 

The tripmeter on the dash tracks the total trip distance from the time the scooter is unlocked till it is locked again.
The tripmeter is always available on the dash to the right of the speedometer.

A maximum of five incorrect attempts are allowed, after which you will have to wait for five minutes to try again.

Regenerative braking helps recharge the battery, thus increasing the range. This can be done in three ways: - Coast regen - Decreasing the throttle will automatically enable coasting regen. - Brake regen - Engaging the brakes will enable brake regen. - Forced regen - Decreasing the throttle all the way to the negative throttle region triggers forced regen. This has the highest regen capacity.

You can use Sports/Hyper modes when your battery is above 20%. Only Normal mode is available below 20%. 

A scooter reboot restarts all software components in the scooter.
- The scooter should be parked.
- Press and hold the Power button and Mode button together for 10 seconds to reboot the scooter.

Your speed can be limited to 40 kmph in two scenarios: 1. When the battery is below 15% and your scooter conserves its charge to giving you more range. 2. When a fault occurs and the scooter automatically decelerates to 40 kmph.

Yes, the trunk can be opened from the Ola Electric app: - Open the Ola Electric app. - Connect the app to the scooter via Bluetooth. - Click on 'Open trunk' from the app home screen.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro come with a warranty of three years/40,000 km (whichever is earlier), and the battery comes with a warranty of three years/unlimited km.

You can use the mode toggle button on the right handlebar when riding to switch between available riding modes.
1. The scooter will start in Normal mode by default.
2. Pressing the mode toggle button once activates Sports mode.
3. Pressing it twice activates Hyper mode (only S1 Pro).
4. Pressing it thrice takes it back to Normal mode.
For enabling Eco mode, you can long-press the mode toggle button from any drive mode. To come out of eco mode, short-press the mode toggle button.

You can use the Reverse Mode button on the left handlebar to switch to Reverse Mode:
1. The scooter moves to Park state when unlocked.
2. Change to Drive state by pressing one of the brakes and the Power button.
3. When the scooter is completely immobile, short-press the Reverse button on the left handlebar to move to Reverse Mode.
4. Turn the throttle in the forward direction to move in reverse.

To move your Ola scooter from parked state to riding state:
1. Retract the parking stand
2. Turn on the motor by holding either the left or right brake and pressing the power button
3. Once the scooter enters ride mode, you will hear an Audio Alert - indicating the change in state. Your scooter is now ready to hit the road.

Left handlebar controls:
1. Reverse/Cruise Control.
2. Light controls for halo lamp, low beam, and high beam.
3. Left indicator.
4. Right indicator.
5. Horn.

Right handlebar controls:
1. Mode toggle.
2. Power button.

Data related to places of your interest gets updated from time to time and there might be instances when the searched place is unvailable in the map data. In such case, you can use the "Locate on map" to drop a pin on the location you are searching for and navigate.

Yes, the Ola scooter will be functional while downloading the update. 

No, you will not be able to ride the scooter when the update is being installed. We advise you to install the update at night or when the scooter will not be used. 

You can download an update anytime. However, to begin installing it, please ensure the following:
- Your Ola scooter should be sufficiently charged (more than 30%).
- Your Ola scooter should be parked.

There are no charges for repairs covered under the warranty.
Chargers for repairs not covered under the warranty will depend on the job. You will be informed of the estimated cost of repairs before commencement of work.

1. You will get a notification when a software update is available.
2. On your Ola scooter's dash, swipe left twice to access 'Settings'. Go to 'System update' and tap 'Download'.
3. Once the update is downloaded, click on 'Install now'.

Timely updates are required to improve the scooter's functions. We strongly recommend that you install updates to ensure smooth running of your vehicle.

An OTA (Over the Air) update is the process of updating various software units in the scooter remotely via a cloud-based push. This improves the scooter's functions and fixes issues remotely.

The time required to download and install an update depends on the size and type of the update and network connectivity strength 

Internet connectivity is required for downloading updates. Downloads will pause when internet is not available and will resume automatically once it is.
However, internet connectivity is not required for installing the update.
